I couldn’t find much on the designer of this unique looking stoneware teapot by Robert Steven Witkoff.  I believe this is from the early 1970’s. I did find one listing with the same teapot in it’s original box, which had  ‘Ellipse’ as the manufacturer.  I also found other Witkoff teapot listings which named International Silver as the manufacturer.  He also designed for Omni Ware.  All items appear to have been made in Japan.

The style is definitely modernist. The lid is set off center (to one side of the handle). The teapot measures about 9″x7″x61/4″.  The colour is more like the slightly yellower beige tone of the 2nd and 3rd photos but not as dark.

This will be for sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, just 30 minutes west of the city of Ottawa.

Priced at $55

Hayhoe Flowerdale Teapot Collection

Hayhoe Teapot Collection

Tea anyone?

From my own collection, here are 5 pretty teapots issued by R.B. Hayhoe (Flowerdale) Tea Company out of Toronto and made by Beauce Ceramics  in Quebec ca. late 60’s to mid 70’s.   I also have a cookbook put out by Flowerdale, featuring Gourmet recipes.  I love these little Aladdin type teapots.  I am on the hunt for the green ones and the cream coloured ones.  Very elusive pieces as I have been looking for years now.

Enamelware Tulip Teapot

Lovely tulip pattern and in great condition too!

This is one of my favourite finds.   Really cute enamelware teapot with tulips all around and a plastic red tulip handle on the lid.  I don’t know the manufacturer of this particular one nor the age but it was too sweet to resist!
