Probably circa 1970’s.  Nice overall condition on this large lazy susan, with mushroom decorated relish inserts and center cutting board.  Two vintage polka dotted shakers were added to the photo since they are the same vintage.  The caps are plastic and the shakers are glass.

For sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, just 30 minutes west of the city of Ottawa.

Priced at $25 for the tray and $6 for the shakers.

1950’s General Electric Chrome Toaster and Fab Tray

27 Nov

More great finds from estate sales and the thrifts this week.  The General Electric toaster with black bakelite handles was grimy but in great condition and looks great after a couple of tedious hours cleaning the gunk out of the grooves in the bakelite handles and polishing up the chrome.  The floral tray is a Fab product and has a sticker on the back saying the following —– A “Fab” Product – “Fab” is for Fabric—–“Yes, the pattern that you see is actually a carefully chosen decorator’s fabric that has been sealed in a clear polyester composition. The surface is mark proof, stain and alcohol resistant, and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid rough handling – this product is quite durable but is not unbreakable. Exposure to excessive heat may cause warping.”
Handcrafted in Barrie, Canada by Hardy-Glenwood Products.

These trays were made in the early 70’s and came in various sizes and colours.

The red lazy Susan is probably a recently dated item that was made to look retro.  The sides are  chrome colour painted on plastic .  It would look great in a retro kitchen.

The small triangular dish was made in Germany and I think it would date to the  60’s.  The black metal fish was made in Israel.  The little painted black bowl is marked Cressi on the back.  The glasses are from Dominion Glass Co. Montreal Canada and date to the 50’s.

Note: Toaster and lazy Susan are SOLD!
