Just finished reupholstering another vintage chrome step stool, this time using bright yellow marine vinyl. The chrome seems to be in pretty good condition although there is a bit of wear on the legs which doesn’t detract from the overall look. The rubber treads on the steps are in good original condition. We saved the original paper labelling on the bottom of the stool seat and stapled it on after we finished recovering it. It says that it was made by Cesare Chrome Furniture Mfg, a Division of Restorite Bedding Co. Ltd. in Weston, ON. I did a little research and found out that the company closed shop in 1987.
This will be going up to my booth at the Almonte Antique Market very shortly. Address is 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON. Open 7 days a week, year round, with over 50 vendors in a 2 storey building. Check out my booth on the 2nd floor near the back windows.

This one only needed some cleaning of the chrome, repainting of the steps and glueing on new rubber treads to bring it up to snuff.
I like the way the mechanism on this step stool works. The steps slide out rather than fold back under the chair as most others do.

We just finished reupholstering and cleaning this mid century chrome step stool. We used a tough red marine vinyl for the seat and back and put new rubber treads on the freshly painted silver steps. We cleaned and polished the chrome so now it looks great and ready to go to my booth in Almonte, at the Almonte Antique Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON.
Nice and sturdy, great for the kitchen.
Priced at $65.

This is a really nice smaller sized formica topped chrome table, ca. 1950’s. It has a unique plaid patterned top and bevelled wood sides. It comes with one extension leaf and could sit 4 to 6 people. The top is in great condition, nice and shiny and not too much wear. The chrome is in fairly good condition. Missing a couple of rubber tips for the legs, which are harder to find for the double chrome tubed legs. We are on the hunt for them. The chairs were purchased separately at another sale, but they do go well with the table. They are in fairly decent condition, and the vinyl is in good shape.
For sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, just 30 minutes west of the city of Ottawa.
Priced at $265.00 for the set.

We picked up another nice mid century formica table recently. This one has some spots on the chrome legs that are worn, but still a nice table overall. We replaced the rubber tips on the legs and cleaned up the surfaces. It does have one extension leaf that goes with it so it would seat six easily.
This table is at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market , 26 Mill Street, Almonte, ON, just 30 minutes west of the city of Ottawa.
The price is $75.00.

Purchased at an estate sale, this small white painted metal stand is in great condition. It is a multi purpose stand: Ashtray holder, Magazine Rack, Telephone table. Looks great with the vintage stools. Paint shows some minor scuffing.
The red push button phone is a more recent model, from the 1980’s, in good working order, priced at $20.00
This stand is available at my booth at 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, at the Almonte Antiques Market.
Priced at $22.00
Please note: The stand and the turquoise stool, red stool and phone are now SOLD!!!
Found this at an auction and was thrilled to get it. Glass topped table is in good overall condition. The set has some minor scuffing of the paint here and there. The chairs are in the original orange and yellow vinyl upholstery. One chair has a brace that is separated at the joint and could be easily repaired. The set is sturdy and comfortable.
The set is on display at our booth in the Almonte Antique Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, just 30 km west of the city of Ottawa.
