Dansk Kobenstyle Yellow Enamelled Cast Iron Fondue Pot

11 Jun

Dansk fondue pot

Yellow enamelled Fondue Pot designed by Jens Quistguaard for Dansk  sometime in the 1960’s.  It has a teak handle and is made of cast iron.  I don’t think the base is the original although it appears to fit alright.  The pot itself is in very nice used condition, with little signs of wear. Made in France. The yellow colour is called ‘Sun Gold’

Will be for sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market, 26 MIll Street, Almonte ON.

Priced at $40.

Findlay Enamelled Turquoise Cast Iron Pots and Trivets

31 May

findlay metal ware

Findlay Foundry was founded by David Findlay in 1862 in Carleton Place, ON.  It continued until 1974 making cast iron cookware and cooking stoves.  These perfect examples were purchased at an estate sale in Carleton Place from a woman whose uncle worked in the Foundry for years.  They kept much of the cast iron for their family members but agreed to part with these pieces.  Lucky me

The colour is a pale green/turquoise almost like Jadeite.

They will be for sale at my booth at the Almonte Antiques Market, 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON.  Price  $25 for the small frying pan, $40 for the small covered casserole, $15 for each of the trivets.

NOTE: These items are now SOLD!!
