Pyrex Black and White Glass Mixing Bowls

2 Dec

pyrex black and white

More recent Pyrex bowls by Corning,  ca 1990’s. The bowls were also manufactured as four piece sets in a variety of colours: Rainbow, Blue Rainbow, Brown Rainbow, Dark Green, Burgandy, Cobalt Blue, Granite (speckled), Red, Lifestyles (speckled red, blue and green) , Red and Green, Southwest (light blue, peach, pale  green and pale yellow), Yellow, Winter Festival (Red with white pattern),  all Black, all White, and the Black and White mixed.  Many sets consisted of 4 bowls, but some were only 3 such as the one above.  I gleaned this information from the Corelle Corner site: http://www.corellecorner.com/clear-pyrex-profiles/469-clear-bottom-bowls-1986.html

Pyrex produced these  right after they discontinued the opal glass line of bowls.  As far as I know, all these colours have been discontinued so we can classify them as vintage now.  The bowls have clear bottoms and the colour is on the outside of the clear glass bowls only.

The finishes are nice and shiny and the bowls show only mininal wear on the inside.

The set will be for sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market 26 Mill Street, Almonte ON, just 30 minutes west of the city of Ottawa ON.  Open 7 days a week, from 10am to 5pm with plenty of free parking at the rear of the building. Over 50 vendors in a 2 storey brick heritage building offer a huge variety of antiques and collectibles to suit every taste.

Priced at $25 for the set.

I used to refer to Corelle Corner regularly. I just tried it and all the links are dead. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Looks like all the content was removed. Very unfortunate.

Yes, very unfortunate. It is/was a great resource.
