Polka Dotted Skirt and Stretch Top by Simplicity ca 1950’s.

polka dot 1

Thanks to my sister for modelling this outfit for me.  I made it using a 1950’s Simplicity pattern for a gathered skirt and pullover stretch top, with crinoline underneath to give added fullness.  She is wearing vintage sling back shoes and cotton wrist gloves to complete the ensemble.

This skirt sold to a lovely young woman at the Vintage Clothing Sale in Almonte in Sept.

Hopefully I will be able to whip up more vintage clothing for an upcoming sale in October at Carleton University Fieldhouse Antique Show  on Oct. 25th and 26th.  I will have some readymade vintage outfits for sale as well as hand made ones.  I use vintage fabric whenever possible for a more authentic look and feel.

Please note the outfit is now SOLD!!
