This one only needed some cleaning of the chrome, repainting of the steps and glueing on new rubber treads to bring it up to snuff.
I like the way the mechanism on this step stool works. The steps slide out rather than fold back under the chair as most others do.

Love how the back looks. Am redoing a s I liar stool but don’t know how to undo the top from the frame, no visible screws! Any suggestions?
I have refinished a couple of chairs where the top piece had holes in the bottom edge that the chrome posts fit into. If that is the case, you will have to use a hammer and give the top a few good taps on the lower part of the top piece to release it. Most of the ones I have done have the back screwed on to the chrome supports. Hope this helps.
