Sarreguemines France Ceramic Fondue Plates

22 Feb

Copy of IMG_4033

Gorgeous jewel tone colours on these fondue plates made in France by Sarreguemines.  I would date these to the  early 70’s when fondues were all the rage.  These will be for sale at my booth at the Almonte Antique Market  in Almonte Ontario for $25.00 for the six plates.

Note: These plates are now SOLD!!!

Vintage Westclox Clock 1950’s Atomic Style

22 Feb

westinghouse clock

This poor little clock doesn’t work but the style was so iconic of the 50’s that I had to have it just for display purposes. Hopefully I can get the clock working again.  The wood is probably teak and it sits on brass legs.  Made in Canada ca. 1950’s.

Please Note: This item is now SOLD!!

Mid Century Chrome Kitchen Ware

18 Feb

If you are looking for some retro chrome kitchen ware, I have a nice assortment at my booth in the Almonte Antique Market, Almonte, ON.   There is a Westbend Penguin Hot/Cold Server or Ice Bucket with bakelite handles, an Hors d’oeuvres tray with stainless steel inserts on a teak tray with teak handled forks, a two tiered chrome serving tray and retro black and chrome  Hamilton Beach Milk Shake Maker.  Serve up  some drinks on a 1980’s retro Coke tray.

Please note all the items pictured here are now SOLD!!

Vintage Hanes Hosiery Box

18 Feb

Wonderful vintage Hanes Hosiery Box.  The sides of the box are green velvet and the picture on the top is a silky material depicting a scene from Godey’s Ladies of Fashion.   What a lovely box for keepsakes.

Please Note: This item is now SOLD!

I couldn’t resist these colourful plates at a recent sale at an auction house.   They are not marked on the back so I don’t know anything about them.   They did come from an estate of an elderly couple so I am guessing they have some age to them.

Please Note: These plates are now SOLD!

Coalport Indian Tree Demi Tasse Cups and Saucers

15 Feb

Set of demi tasse cups and saucers  and side plates made by Coalport, England,  in the Indian Tree pattern.  These probably date to the turn of the century.

Please note these items are now SOLD!

Mod Flower Pattern Dishes made in Ireland

15 Feb

Found these pieces at a local thrift store.  They are all made in Ireland ca. 1970’s.  The sugar dish is missing the lid but I love the retro floral pattern and it makes a good catch all dish.

Evening Purse, vintage

15 Feb

Cute  little hard platic shell evening purse with articulated flap and chain strap.  Probably not that old, maybe 1980’s, but very retro looking.  It has a very high gloss finish which reminds me of turtoise shell.

Please Note: This item is now SOLD

Retro Looking Clock Radio

15 Feb

This is probably a recently made  item but looked so cool and retro that I had to buy it.  It makes me think of the interior of an old car.   It is made of black plastic and works great.   I think it is newer because it is really light weight and the older plastics were much thicker and heavier.

Item now SOLD!!

White Shadow Hoya China Cow Dishes

15 Feb

Cutest  little plates, measure about 6″ across.  Each one with a different hand painted picture of a cow.  Made in Japan.  I couldn’t find anything online to date these plates, but my best guess would be the 60’s.

Note: These have been SOLD.
